possible problem with graphics card
Discussion
this is just a shot in the dark here, on of the household pc's ie, my son's pc has a problem. When he accesses the internet the web pages have no colour to them, they are all white with just the text & pictures visible, no background colour. the pc is running Win XP pro, has a AMD 1200 Mhz CPU 384 Mb ramm and an Nvidia TNT2 PCI graphics card (no AGP slot). This is really puzzling my as to why it can view all other things, but the web pages seem to be all out of sync.
Also the web page text is rather on the large side too.
I have tried altering the text size in the browser by setting it to the smallest size, but to no avail. the screen resolution is set to 1024 x 786 & is the monitor is running @ 60 Mhz.
I have downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia too.
So now i'm really stumped..
Any advice before i go out & get another graphics card.
All else on the pc works fine.

Hi Monkey boy 1, the only things I can think of to check, are in I.E., click tools, Internet options..., then "Colors". Make sure "use windows colors is ticked.
Idea number two, open control panel, click accessibility options, click Adjust the contrast..... and make sure that "use high contrast" is un-ticked.
Other than that, if the Nvidia drivers came with software (the drivers for my Nvidia card do), perhaps there are some settings askew there.
Hope you can find it without resorting to purchasing a new card, if not it sounds like someone has some lawns to mow this Spring...
