Here is a useful little tool if you want to go one step further and open all IE windows in full screen:
www.jiisoft.com/iemaximizer/index.asp
www.jiisoft.com/iemaximizer/index.asp
IE remembers the size of the last window closed, but ignores maximised.
Make sure you only have one window open and resize it to as near max as you need.
Close it.
All new windows will now open at that size, but if you open loads they will offset.
Tabbed browsing will probably be implemented in IE7, as every other browser on the planet seems to be doing it, and it's way better.

If you right click on your Internet Explorer short cut icon, click properties, the second box from the bottom should say 'Run' you then select 'Maximised' and Apply, that should do it.
The only thing is that it still wont open IE maximised if you right click a link and go 'open in new window'. I haven't found a way round that yet apart from making the last window you use as big as possible so it remembers next time.
