I have bought a computer off ebay ( dell ) and just installed a copied version of xp pro and office ( done this loads of times on different computers no problems ), the only problem is this time i have come across a few problems with the sound card and graphics card.

They are there as they were working fine before I installed the new software but now they are not reckonised by the computer as I seem to have writtern over their drivers ( I think ) does anyone know where I can get the drivers for these cards ( I have tried dell and they just keep saying install Drivers and Utilities CD which I don't have.

Any tips ? or do I have to get the cd ? at the moment it won't play any music and the screen is displaying on 4 bit and looks like a bag of wank.

Cheers Tamps

If you know the make & model of the graphics & sound cards, just go to the manufacturers websites (support section) and download them.

A visit to windowsupdate might be worth a try, although as yours is a copied version theres no guarantee Bill won't send the Feds around

Since it's a Dell you should be able to download everything from their site. Just go to 'online tech support' -> 'home', enter the service tag and select 'drivers and downloads' and Bob's your uncle.
