Someone is Having trouble login in on my website.
basically They Login and it takes them back to the homepage or they get you are unauthorsied to see this page.
Although it says they are loged in on the members list page.
Wellme and Wildeep have tried everything our end and can even login using the profile and password of the person having trouble.
So we can only think it is something there end AV software etc... They have cleaned cache and cookies and still no joy.

Anyone have any ideas of what else they could try.

Cheers

Is your logging-in system dependent on the browser sending a correct referrer field?

Might be something like Norton Internet Security stopping the referrer field or could be something in the browser (I'm sure I've seen an extension for Firefox that does something similar).

If your system depends on cookies, check the browser security levels as it might be blocking cookie creation.

The fact that you can login with their details eliminates the web server. Could it be IE security zone related? Is it the same for them in both FF and IE?

ello bb!

one thing I've come across is the "fasterfox" plugin, which goes off and prefetches links to speed up browsing.

This is fine (apart from abusing web servers) unless it's prefetching the "Log off" link, meaning you can never stay logged on to any websites. oops.
