I've got a whole bunch of mp3s on my hard drive, in album folders. Some of the folders have a picture of the album cover on them, some don't. I don't know how they got there, but as I'm a fair fella I'd like them all to be equal and have their respective covers.

How the hell do I do it?

TIA

Open the album up in Media Player and click on the 'find album info' in the bottom of the playlist and it should then appear.
Did on mine anyway.

Open Windows Media player and click "Tools"....... then "Options"........then click the "Library" tab ......at the bottom of the library tab click on the "Learn more about changes made to files" link. This will explain the function of the "Automatic media updates for files options on the "Library" tab...

Windows Media player ID's most media files and downloads cover icons etc off the internet.

Are you fair and equal enough to ensure that you paid copyright on all those files Dodgey rips and rare formats don't carry the meta data required to retrive this info.

Even if it's all legit, very rare, and independantly released stuff often isn't on the database, so you won't get the track listing and icon.

Go to amazon, type in the name of the album.

Find the image of the album cover, right click, save as, place it in the album folder.

Bit long winded but it does the job.

Well thats not Legal! lol In america it is legal to create a backup copy if you have the original but over here the only way is downloaded music that has been paid for and only 1 copy of the file exists..

I'm no angel either but i like being picky!
