Anybody using AVG Network edition?

Our Symantec Business Pack runs out on the 2nd and I'm thinking of switching.
AVG is cheaper that the Symantec renewal and it's for 2 years!

Looking at 10 licences, with 9 workstations and 1 server.

TIA

I used to run AVG on my old companies systems (10ish). Like you I couldn't justify paying for symantec. All I can say was it installed easy, and found a few viruses in peoples e-mails etc. As far as I was concerned it was good enough and cheap!

We sell AVG to our clients, the Price is good, the virus detection is good. were currently getting atleast on update a day for the virus profiles so they seem on the ball.

the network edition gives you the ability to monitor and adjust all the machines from a single point.

with avg we tend to set the scanning daily for lunchtime, updates first thing and turn off the scan on boot up when missed, as the scanning is quite deep and tends to slow most machines a bit...

I might be able to save you a couple of quid (special PH rate )not many though as its quite cheap about 169 for a 10 user 2 year licence.....

You can also try before you buy. download it from the avguk.com you also need to download the remote administrator for windows... to do the remote admin

cheers

Another plus from me. I took on a new contract back in 03 and inherited 400 manky desktops, all running differing platforms, all with Norton. One week after I started the director had my arse against the wall asking me infront of the board why half of his system had virii. I said that as far as I was concerned, Norton protected against 99.9% of all threats; to which he replied. "Clearly its the 0.1% which is getting through - sort it out". Ouch

I stuck the network version on with 400 two year licences, and after a lot of updating and scanning, we had no more problems. As a result of this I became an AVG/Kerio reseller, although I haven't sold anything of theres since I started to realise how good AVG Free was

Hi there,

Like Graham, I can probably save you a few quid on your copy of AVG Network + licences. If you want a quote, feel free to email me at nik@2connect-it.co.uk.

Cheers,
