Hi all, Please can anyone help with a problem I have on internet explorer pages. On most pages, the font size is ok, but on certain pages (eg autotrader, sniff petrol etc where there is a lot of small text close together) the text overlaps and any drop down boxes (eg on autotrader search boxes) are hidden by other boxes.... I'm aware of the view>text size function and all this does is make the overlap slightly better. I've also played around with the font size and the appearance and the internet explorer properties> accessability and fonts all to no avail. The accessability feature on the i/net properties "ignor font sizes on specific webpages" does solve the problem, but then throws up problems on other web pages. Any ideas? Many thanks, Jon

Autotrader and SniffPetrol both use the crappiest HTML/Javascript I've ever had the misfortune to see and we designed by some weirdly spectacled, spikey haired tt who should be sent bungey jumping using their own intestines as a bungey cord.

Neither site renders properly at any font size other than the ones they were designed at.

You're screwed.

Agreed. Don't know about Autotrader, but I've had the same issue with sniffpetrol. A quick look at the source, and it tells you which WYSIWYG editor they use to create it.

If you ever need an example of why hand-coding is the way forward, then I'd say the sniffpetrol.com site is it.

It's still funny, though. New one should be out today, I think.
