Domain Registration
Discussion
Morning folks,
I need to register a domain and can't decide who to do it with...
I only need the name registering, as we have the site hosted ourselves.. (yes, I know there are arguments against this, many arguments in fact, but I can't get over that hurdle I'm afraid)... so, I need full control over the DNS, no hosting or email services or web forwarding or other such bobbins...
Jamie, do you offer this service?
Your advice please folks?
Cheers,
slinky

I've been using them for years. Good prices and good service / features. Their control panel is particularly good with full DNS control and mail and web forwarding. They've (relatively) recently been bought by Pipex though, so I'm keeping an eye on the costs / features. I've noticed extra features being added on an additional-cost basis, which doesn't bode well.
We're cheaper than 123-Reg (about 75%
) £5.48 for .com .net .org .uk
Click the banner and buy to your hearts content
Comes with Free online DNS control
Free Unbannered Web Forwarding
Free eMail Forwarding (unlimited aliases)
Free Transfer In (Registry imposed Renewal required)
Free Transfer Away
Very Powerful Domain Control Panel (whois optout/full whois details control/Glue Record Creation/Nameserver Control/Domain Locking)
Easy upgrade (1 click) to a hosting account too
Enjoy.

I've got quite a few .com domains still with http://joker.com who also have a good control panel, including unlimited subdomains (123-reg.co.uk charge for these) and spam-filtering on all mail including mail forwarding (which 123-reg.co.uk again charge for).
Their prices are still ok for .com but they don't do .uk

Um, I'm not sure. Maybe it's sub-domains integrated with web forwarding or something?
