Cant you use the last access attribute on files?

Would take forever though to go through all files,

or what about the recent folder in Documents & Settings / <whatever user> / Local Settings / History.

or Documents & Settings / <whatever user> / My recent documents

??

Believe me, its not any sites visited that matter.

The 'next generation'
think a computer can be instintively improved,
regardless of ability, and subsequent failings on its part, are somehow
another persons fault.

I think with XP if you set a good password that they dont know and use Access Control Lists you can set the attributes for files / programs so that they cant read or execute them.

Have yourself as an administrator and then set them up with a limited account where they cant access any of the important stuff

oh no,
only I use it anyway, its always on, but screensaver password when i'm not here

its the fiddling about with settings that pissed me off,
since I bought it a year or so ago,
its been locked all the time, and still working fine unlike the laptop before,

a victim to perpetual (improvements) meaning it was away being corrected more time than it was here
