I'm trying to place an order via the mamas and papas website, their order page confirms the following;

"Payment Details

This form uses 128 bit SSL, the strongest commercially available level of encryption. All your private data will be encrypted at all times whilst in transit over the Internet. You should see a solid padlock in your browser status bar which indicates that the encryption is taking place."

I've looked and I've no padlock....

What do you IT guys think?

Best bet to ring them and place the order over the phone?

edited: If I click back through the Browser and refresh the page, then confirm "no" to showing the non-secure items the padlock is shown in my browser.

No padlock = no secure.

It could be that they are using a passthru (the secure page is page within a frame for example) or it could be they have an insecure item on the page (a hard link to a http://image for example) but you would normally be warned about this and asked if you 'want to download the insecure items'

Talk to them if you're worried.

Thanks Jamie,

As you suggested I was given an option for secure/unsecure items and selected no to unsecure items. I got the padlock and placed my order.

Cheers.

Sounds like they have a dodgy image on the page
