Another Mac Question
Discussion
I have photos on a powerbook that is running a 12 month old version of panther and I want to move them over to the ibook which is running tiger. I tried my best to follow the instructions on the Apple website, but when I got to the end it told me that tiger wasn't configured to use appletalk for file sharing.
Also can someone tell me in simple language how to do the same thing with photos on a pc running xp. Again I am finding the normally brilliant Apple support section of the website a little confusing.

Hi
If the powerbook has a firwire connection. Switch on the iBook, connect the cable, start the powerbook while holding "T" down and it will mount as a drive on the desktop of the ibook, so you can browse to the file you want to copy and just drag them across, diconnect by dragging the the icon of the powerbook to the trash, then press and hold the power button on the powerbook.
Cheers
