I need some help with an online app, getting loads of errors like

Notice: Undefined index: id in D:\aimhigherkm\Calendar\includes\functions.php on line 147

Notice: Undefined index: date in D:\aimhigherkm\Calendar\includes\functions.php on line 147

Notice: Undefined index: year in D:\aimhigherkm\Calendar\includes\functions.php on line 147

Notice: Undefined index: month in D:\aimhigherkm\Calendar\includes\functions.php on line 147

It looks a bit like it could be missing some global variable definitions (sorry I'm not a PHP user), is there a commonly used file for these sort of things (like ASP's global.asa)?

Is this an app that you are writing or are trying to use?

If the former, the code is looking for variables called id, date, year and month - but they are not set.

If the latter, contact the person who wrote the code. It's not a configuration issue.

looking a bit deeper, i wonder if it's because I need to do something to make PHP work with MS SQL...
...found a couple of things to look at (a missing .dll?), but if anyone has a quick answer that's be excellent.

PS, it was all working on a different server - but we had to upgrade, and I don't know anything about PHP, the guy that said he knows how it all works isn't here, and the customer whose application I've buggered up is less than happy at the moment!

Ah, if you're using MS SQL then you do need to make sure you're loading the module.

Look in c:phpext for a file called php_mssql.dll
copy it to c:php

Then have a look at c:winntphp.ini
Find: ;extension=php_mssql.dll
Remove the ;

All done!

If it goes pear shaped then put the ; back. You may not have moved the right file. I'm sure there is another way, but thats how I do it.
