Help! We need a new printer as our home one is now Fubar.
Has to replace a HP 840c, mainly used for black and white documents but with a bit of colour for logos etc. Cheap ink cartriges are preferable too!
Aimimg to spend no more than £100 really, ideally needs to be quite compact as the space it resides is a bit tiddly (no top loading tray would be great)
Any suggestions for the best with these spec would be appreciated thanks!

Its also well worth taking into account the price of ink to run the printer, as this could make running the printer fairly expensive, especially if you need to do a fair bit of printing. My dad bought an Epson D88 a few months ago, and that really seems to drink ink, and the ink is fairly expensive (£17 for a full set of inks). I ended up just buying a lexmark Z617 for doing my basic printing for checking layouts etc, and i use a little HP photosmart printer for any photos i need to print.
check out play.com or pricestorm.com for prices on ink cartridges, they seem to do some of the best deals ive found.

I recently bought a Brother DCP-117C for £80, which included a set of cartridges. (priced at £34 for the four or about £8 each as separates)
It has no fax on it but the Printer/Scanner are both more than adequate for home use. Does a decent enough photo print.
It uses four cartidges - black, magenta, cyan and yellow, rather than a composite cartridge for the three colours.
Print speed is pretty good and it is TINY!!!
I'm well pleased with it.
