Software to edit MP3's (or wav's)?
Discussion
Chaps,
I have an occasional need to edit MP3's (or wav's.) The situation is that I have a talk, recorded on a CD, which I need to edit some bits out of. Does anyone know of any good software to use to do this? (Preferably freeware/shareware.)
Also, while I am on the topic, what about some software to split and/or join MP3's (or, again, wav's)?
Oli.

I use Audacity, it's on www.download.com somewhere, I think you have to install something else first though.
It's freeware and very good

I use wavepad. Google for a free download. Great for making your own ringtones!
That's why I first went hunting for one, to get the first bit of The Rasmus's Ghostbusters as my ringtone!
The fade-in bit is very good for ringtones as they, err, well, fade in as opposed to making you jump blaring out at full whack!
