As per the title.

Is there anywhere on the net, that I can download movies in high enough quality that I don't have to display them in a 2 inch square box when viewing.

I'm on broadband, and I'm quite patient, so I'm not expecting streaming. What I'm looking for is a pay per view type system (I'd like to keep it legal) that offers high quality.

Otherwise I might as well troop up to the local video rental shack and rent the latest stuff.

The big movie studios just started offering this. Google news for details.

I download Sky movies and sport from Sky by Broadband and run them fullscreen on my laptop in Windows media player.

Not really, a few places have started doing film downloads in the US but i've not tried them.

Ironically, if you want the best quality then you will have to go illegal...

Damn software buggered my Media Centre PC. Had to take it off - and it didn't de-install cleanly. Was not a happy bunny. Since I am a sky subscriber I'm entitled to use the service but currently don't. The quality ain't exactly hi-def either. Maybe, just maybe, I'll re-install it on the PC in my study (not going on the damn Media Center again) and watch movies in there my wife doesn't want to see...
