Mouse wheel gone dead

This is very weird. I have a Trust mouse and it has two mouse wheels, however one has stopped working totally (the one I use of course).

Does anyone know where I should start looking to fix it?

Is the wheel not turning or do you think it's electrical? If it's not turning it probably needs to be opened up and cleaned, maybe a little silicone carfully applied to the axle it turns on.

reinstalling the drivers seemed to of done the job. no idea why they died. thx.
