Im using Lotus notes 6.01 and I need it to dothe following.

I will be receiving a large number of unique files and want notes to automatically email each individual file (all held in the same location) to different email addresses without any user involvement.

Is this possible, how difficult is it, etc?

Cheers for any help.

Two ways

Mailbox Rules (I think thats what they are called) and Agents

Works exactly the same way as Outlook but with a proprietary annoying interface.

i was led to believe that agents would only work if there was an outstanding notes database that contained the files I want to transfer. This isn't possible so that, I think rules that out.

Mailbox rules, I will investigate this.

I think the difference is that Agents run on the server and Rules on the client.

Cant be sure though, its a while since I had to arse about with Notes.

Agents can run on the client. Go to View Agents. or Create Agents.
You then need to know the scripting language that Notes uses to create the mail. It certainly can be done that way.

However I use the following www.fabalou.com/VBandVBA/lotusnotesmail.asp in Excel to take a spreadsheet that had DDL links in, to mail to my notes client.

Works a dream.
