I've just added a item to the Classified Section under Computers. We have tried to sell this on ebay but didn't get a bid. Rather than throw it in the bin, does anyone want a A4 Agfa scanner that works on a Mac running OS 9. Please it needs a good home.

It uses SCSI connection so as long as you've got a SCSI card or port it will work. We don't have drivers for XP but agfa have a full list of drivers to download and system requirments www.agfa.com/digicam_scanner_drivers/faq/index.html

hope this helps

Unfortunately I don't have a SCSI post on my PC.

Bit of a shame really as I live in York so would only be across town

Old as the ark? Not quite, but oddly, for certain tasks, older kit is better.

New scanners appear to be made out of recycled bin liners and paper mache; I suspect that this is built like the proverbial brick privy, and will run on and on and on. Granted, its specs might not match newer kit (resolution and whatnot), but if you have a need for a scanner that gets used more than once a year, this would be a good bet. And a SCSI card will be quite cheap - try fleabay...
