That's Microsoft for you - ditch IE and use www.firefox.com instead

I wonder if they could be threads that you have bookmarked on PH? (Not in your browser).
Good idea - but I have now checked my home PC and I have one there too not 4 like at work but again I can't delete it - it is a post I did a few days ago and it just sits there - it is not bookmarked - must be something to do with how I wrote it - this one will probably join it now !!

Index.dat files will store a lot of your historical IE activites. If you want to have a look inside them, try this little utility: www.acesoft.net/index.dat%20viewer/index.dat_viewer.htm
Some will also wedge themselves in your Registry, although I can't remember where at the moment. Either way, this should clean them up: www.ccleaner.com/
CCleaner is does a pretty good job, so be careful when you run it! Or rather understand what the settings are before you run it.
