Sometimes I get bored at work. It'd be nice to have some good sites to go on when I've got nothing better to do. Any suggestions? Not forums etc (got enough of those) just sites of general/automotive interest that I can have a quick read through at work.

Do you like a bit of automotive dreaming?

www.stanleymann.co.uk/
www.classicdriver.com/uk/find/4100.asp
www.gregorfisken.com/ (turn sound down/off until you mute the GT40 )
www.carclassic.com/default.asp
www.racecar.co.uk/carsinternational/

Then drool over these - www.autosalon-singen.de/auto-salon.cfm?languageID=GB

The Top Gear, Evo and Autocar websites can be worth a read if you don't buy the magazines.

And a not motoring one:

www.snopes.com/ - urban legends

You might also find some interesting websites here: www.oilypages.com/

There's a Firefox add-on that feeds up links to 'interesting' (according to your criteria) web sites on demand, called 'Stumble' or something like that?

"Stumble Upon" and you can get the tool bar for Internet Explorer now as well. I use it a lot and have found great websites with it.

Be careful though when installing anything like stumble, most medium to large companies run inventry scanners accross the network and can detect installs and if this is against your companies I.T. policy, you could end up in hot water.

Two many times I have seen people caught and disciplined for a fairly harmless install because it breached company policy.

Big brother is watching you!

Google for urban exploration sites.
I spent an entire afternoon on there once.

Very interesting if that's your thang.

Then use Stumble Upon at home to make a list of websites that you would like to visit when you are at work.
