Stupid Windoze Queston

When I connect my camera or put a CD in Windows used to throw up a dialogue box asking what I wanted to do, open a folder etc. It doesn't anymore for some reason.
I know it's a simple setting somewhere but can any one tell me where to change the setting please?

Hi there, Open "My Computer", then right click on your optical drive(s). click "Properties" then select the "Auto Play" tab, toward the bottom of the Auto Play tab there is a bullet "Prompt me each time to choose an action". Left click the bullet so that there is a green dot in the bullet, job done.
