Help, new HDDs not recognised!
Discussion
Have just installed 2x250 Samsung Spinpoint 250gb SATA hard drives in my PC. I have 2x74GB Raptors set up in RAID0, but wanted to replace my older IDE drives with the new SATA drives. I have set up everything correctly, and have even checked each jumper config, just to make sure, but nothing!
The drives show on boot, and they shpw in the device manager, but they do not show on 'My Computer'
I realise they probably need formatting, but if I can't see them on my PC, how can I?
Do I need to download any additional drivers for these drives?
Cheers
Chris

All sorted!
Oh yes, those ATA to SATA adapters, for my IDE HDDs did not work at all! System hangs, taking over 10 mins to boot, and then nothing recognised, even in disk manager,,, binned 'em!
