Could be barking up the wrong tree posting on PH with this, but the dedicated forums elsewhere are not very helpful!
I'm looking for a PDA to help organise my life, therefore one that will sync with Office etc. I'm also moving to America in a fortnight, and if i'm going to get an organiser, it seems to make sense to me that I get one to which i can attach a sat nav unit, as i won't know my way around!
I like the look of the Palm TX, but have read mixed reviews.
Ideally i'd like my PDA to:
be compatible with Office
Have WiFi and bluetooth
Colour screen
Long battery life (2 days)
Be thin and light enough to fit in an inside jacket pocket, and at a squeeze in my trouser pocket.
Be tough, i'm hard on laptops, phones etc, don't mean to be, but my old sony ericsson phones looked very tired when i replaced them

Looking at my requirements, i don't know if palm or microsoft's OS is the one to go for, and whatever it is would ideally be compatible with TOmtom, which reviews point towards being the best add-on sat nav in the US.

So, any recommendations for PDA's, what do you use, and what for?
Many thanks

so do I, thank you.
I haven't heard good things about viamichelin software for satnav, but so many of these things appear to be subjective.
Also not sure about the lack of bluetooth as that's the only way my phone would talk to it.
That's a good place to start on a windows based system, thank you!

Not sure if you've got a John Lewis local, but I've always found them to be very helpful.

I'd personally buy any WiFi iPAQ. The one linked to above looks OK, but the only thing to be cautious of is the battery life. My iPAQs have never lasted more than one day of use if I have had the WiFi enabled...

Get a car charger.

You can buy the TomTom pack (software & GPS receiver as a bundle) and the iPAQ together, and negotiate a deal.

Top choice.

I'd have said that if I hadn't noticed the bit about "moving to the US in a fortnight"

What about the O2 XDA Exec, which I think is the same as the T-Mobile unit?

looking like the ipaq, the complication is moving to the USA, but thank you everyone for your suggestions re o2 etc.
I had a look around yesterday in central london, and think i will go with an HP device, and having looked at USA cell phone companies, think there is a chance i can get an HP phone (sort of!) that can be used for sat nav etc
