I have this avi file that is 556mb big and the video runs 1 hour 52 minutes long.

Can anybody explain why it stops after 11minutes 40 seconds and will not go any further? I am using Divx player as it would not work in windows media player for some reason.

Thanks for the help.

As part of the AVI/Divx file format, there is an index which contains the frames and their order against a timeline. These occasionally get hosed.

If you google for something called DivFix that may resolve your issues as it can strip and rebuild the index.

Oh and an answer to a question you asked about 6 months ago about mobile browsers.

Google for Minimo. Thats the pocket version of Firefox.

Cheers for that mate, I got opera mini in the end and it works pretty well for what I need it for.

Thanks again. I will give that divfix a go

Ok so I just did that divfix thing, but the problem is that it cut the video down to 11 minutes, basically where the video stopped. It said that there was an error.

Is there anyway I can fix it so that the movie plays the whole way through?

I tried something else and that did the same, just stopped it after 11 minutes. Problem now is that i edited the original file, so it now won't play past 11 mins. The 556 is still there, I just can't play it past 11 mins.

Any ideas?
