I started on a IIfx.
A lot of those could make this:

Expensive couch... Those Macs weren't exactly cheap back then.

Nice, I've got a collection of older stuff. Some in boxes.

erm sad sad sad i know, but they are probably vanilla MacII rather than IIfx. Don't think the IIfx ever really had dual floppies unless it the was the upgraded version from a II.

When I moved from a house to an apartment I had to cut down my collection.

I gave away: IIcx, IIfx, SE30, Classic, 8100/80

Now I'm down to a couple of 9600s running G3 upgrade cards, a G4/400, PowerBook 5300c, G3 PowerBook (Pismo) and my old favourite, a Colour Classic.

Bloody Macs! My wife works for them and is trying to fill our house with the sodding things at a discount - give me a PC any day (though they are kinda powerful when handling loads of photos and so on...)

They run windows now, if you must.

They look like IIfx Macs to me... Not sure about the double floppydrives. Could be an update. I would have to check that: my dad still has the IIfx.

When new it was THE ULTIMATE desk top publishing system. Running at 40 MHz or so...

She's welcome to punt them my way. I'm looking for a couple of G5s... three, actually.

I still have a Quadra 700 in the studio, driving a scanner and running some ancient Letraset software. Also handy when clients bring in old stuff on SyQuest, Jaz and those stupid MagnetoOptical discs that never bloody worked.

Also have a couple of 8100s and a 7100, and an LC that I can't bring myself to bin becaue my wife wrote her first three novels on it. One day this might give it value, like Shakespeare manuscripts.

I've got newer machines of course, just can't bring myself to throw away kit the cost thousands and still works perfectly well (ten years ago).
