Can anyone recommend a contact in the Bristol area who can come and have a look at a 6kw UPS we have in our basement?

All this talk of hosepipe bans elsewhere in the country and we get flooding and 12" of water in our basement...

I'm fairly certain the UPS remained clear of the water, and it's drained away and dried out down there now, but considering the voltages involved I don't fancy going near it.

If it was me I'd disconnect the mains and batteries, leave it 1/2 an hour then have a good look inside for signs of water entry. If it looks clear maybe get it re-PAT tested. Failing that just get a sparky to look at it?

You want to go care full what is put through it to test it, It will have processors and things inside it that won't very much like having an insulation resistance test ect, the voltage won't be no greater than the output (probably 240) If you have an RCD and it has stayed in the chance are everything is ok.
I'd think about getting it raised a little further off the floor if possible, and you can get moisture alarms that you could install in the basement to give you an early warining if it happens again.
