all my saved video files arent playing!

for some reason all my saved video files arent playing, most are saved as winamp files in default and only play sound and no picture, and when theyre opened with windows media player it says it cant coonect to the codec server and again only plays back sound, its only just started doing it recently, all the files were playing fine last week, whats going on??

Codecs that are required are for some reason unavailable to Media Player.

Have you re-installed Media player since last week? Run Windows Update? etc etc

If you are running XP, try rolling back to a restore point at a date when the videos were playing.
