I had to call the AOL helpline for my nephew with regard to his broadband connection and shock horror they were brilliant! The bloke at the other end knew what he was talking about AND went through each stage bit by bit so I hate to say it but 10/10 for their customer service support.

have to agree to a point, m8 has MS and is in wheelchair, he had aol and wanted to get the second pc on the LAN to connect via aol. seems he had to get 2 aol accounts @ £20 each or whatever it was. He is now with zen for a faster performance and less money

aol currently has no caps, but is for sale an who knows what will happen then

Are you trying to suggest that you cannot have 2 PCs on line at the same time on one AOL account?

If they were child accounts from the paying account, then you certainly couldn't in the past

M8 has 2 pc's on a lan, since he has MS, he uses speaker phone, ended up chatting direcxtly to tech support who stated that the only way both pc's would work and he had tried to do it, seems aol is not the net, but a private network that lets u on the net....

Tech guy told me only way to do it was 2 accounts, so he closed the account and went to zen. Not sure why this could not be done, but aol lost happy customers

Not doubting you(or your mate) but I have one account, 2 PCs, they can both be on the net at the same time using different screen names. I have given my mate a spare screen name to use on my account which he does using dial up from where he lives. Myself, my mate and Mrs Ribol have had a 3 way chat going at the same time all on my one account. Maybe we are confusing accounts with screen names?
Either way your mate is sorted now so that is his problem solved.
