Apple Powerbook question - PCI Card slot?

[chris.mapey]

Does a 12" Powerbook have one?

I have a 3G / GPRS / WiFi data card that I use alot - I'm thinking about getting a 12" Powerbook (second hand) but need to know can I use the data card to connect on the move?

Over to the Apple experts, please.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Hi there,

The 12" PowerBook doesn't have a PCMCIA slot.

Thanks - not what I wanted to hear, I'll carry on looking for a different small laptop.

Many thanks

I've got a Sony TR5, that's small, and has a PCMCIA slot.

No small Apple laptops have card slots, making it a pain in the arse if you use the 3G card.

The smallest PCMCIA slotted laptop is the 15" Powerbook. The new MacBook Pro 15.4" has an ExpressCard 34 slot which is useless since the 3G cards aren't available in this format.

I use a cheap 3G bluetooth phone to use 3G services from my Apple laptops, BT works well. Wifi is built into all Apple laptops so no real need for external solutions there.
