Morning folks, I just got a few Jools Holland DVD's and wouldn't mind ripping a few songs so I dont have to get my DVD each time I Want to watch them, is there any program I can use to do this?

You need to look for dvd decrypter which will rip dvd's to vob files on your hdd. then you can encode them to other formats from there. I used 3gpp convertor to rip to mp4 files to view on psp and could get a full movie down to about 128Mb. That was average quality and stereo sound which was all you need on the psp.

Hopefully this will do the trick, I've tried this method for putting Diamond Brite DVD's onto computers at work...only thing I'm not sure about is copy protection.

With the DVD in the drive, right click on the DVD Drive in My Computer, click open. There should be a folder called 'VIDEO_TS'. Copy the whole folder somewhere onto your hard disk.

Then if you have some piece of software like PowerDVD you can click 'Open' then 'DVD on HDD', and then this will open a new dialog window. Select the 'VIDEO_TS' folder you have just copied to the hard drive...and it should start playing the DVD.

If you haven't got PowerDVD, try installing VLC Media Player. With this installed you should be able to double click on some of the files in the VIDEO_TS folder to play them.

Hope that is of some help...
