Chaps, I remember reading about some software for removing the volume restriction on EU ipods...can anyone please direct me towards it?
Thanks!

If it's a euro 4G version, iMod or GoPod will work. Try a Goooooogle search on them.

Gav,

Have a look here for a firmware patch/hack that should do the trick.

Thankfully Apple haven't gone the same route as Sony with the PSP, the headphones on mine are limited and you can't even hear the thing while flying (which to my mind is when these sort of things get the most use), thankfully I had my iPod with me, switched headphones and could hear it again.

Pardon?

(There's a semi-joke in shooting circles about the "Gunner's 'What?'", used by those who've spent too much time shootiung without adequate ear protection. I foresee a spate of "Ipod 'What?'" in future years...)

That brings back memories, almost all of the senior staff at my old unit were high tone deaf from fireing without any protection at all, and thats bck when they had real guns

SLR,LMG, and my fav the GPMG... although I admit having a landrover or a truck did help in the carrying it around bit

Anyone here reckon I could sue Buell motorcycles for damaging my hearing or perhaps Thames Valley Harley for selling me the bike.

It used to kick out over 120dB when riding along. Sounded fan-bloody-tastic but played havoc to my ears!

only being silly

Anyhow...it's the reason I won't update the firmwares on my iPods. Stupid suing people!!!!
