Right, might as well be honest. My brother has a pc that he has been using to look at porn (regular adult stuff, not illegal, immoral or nasty stuff involving kids thank god) whilst his missus was away on a training course for a week.

She's back monday and he's a bit nervous as he's a bit of a novice and scared he wont delete stuff correctly.

So i did the following for him:

go to Tools > Internet Options. Clear History, Cookies and Delete Files (checking box to delete offline stuff). Also clear forms and passwords etc.

also gone to my computer - right click > properties > disk cleanup.

Have downloaded CCleaner and Adware also to clean out spyware etc

Also has AVG and Spybot.

Am i missing anything?

Just in case you wonder, its not mine as i would be bothered about cleaning mine off .

You had better make sure he has nothing downloaded in picture form.

Better porn on his pc than another woman in his bed? I know which my other half would prefer....

Sounds like you've got it pretty much covered.
Of course you could just tut knowingly, and say "This is the problem with porn surfing" whilst feeding the rebuild CD's in
Backup his stuff first depending on your mood and the quality of alcohol offered.

Pah, you cynical bunch

It genuinely is him. Me, i'd put my hands up and say it was me. And then ask you where to get some good stuff

Also check the recent documents menu and then check for any .jpg's or .mpg's on the HDD. (press <F3> find all files and folders *.jpg, then *.mpg, then *.ram)

If there's any good ones feel free to forward them to me for *safe storage*

Why's he want to delete it?

Surely you, sorry, 'your brother' wants to show the missues the pictures and say 'can we give this a go'?

check 'my downloads' and 'my received files' too

do all what you said then go back and do a search for pics and videos, will take a while and may bring up 2000 family pictures, but you may just miss one naughty movie

lets just hope he doesnt find his missus' lesbian pictures on there

well, my 'brother' always uses Crap Cleaner every now and again.

This along with the steps you've mentioned will do the job and also possibly speed up the PC to boot....
