Hi all,

just wondering if some kind soul could give us a pointer. When we fire up outlook, it says 'Exchange is currently in recovery mode' and then some other stuff...

what should we do to get Exchange back up?

Many thanks

Some help here:

Usual routine when something goes pear-shaped is to google it and see if someone else has solved the problem.

fraid so...

checked out the info, but it appears we may lose some data, so I'm waiting for my IT chap to call me before I press the big red button...

I think that error is fairly generic, it can either mean corruption in the local .ost file, a connection problem to the MSX server or a corrupt exchange store. More likley the second or third options since everyone started getting the same message at the same time. Hence the barge pole comment since I don't think you want to embark on this particular mission without someone there who knows the score.

I take it if you hit 'work offline' you get an old copy of your mailbox and if you hit 'connect' you get some kind of error?
