Turns out that all the 8meg LLU upgrades over the past couple of months have screwed them completely; they've now issued a notice that they'll stop upgrades with immediate effect.

It seems that in the last two weeks of July (me included) a huge number of users had their connections broken and when they got back up and running were at 10% of the speed they should have been (and have been since).

Anyone else affected by this? It's been 32 days for me and it's still not resolved.

I left them due to a housemove. They then told me about a £47 delayed connection charge or something that I had to pay to leave... I assume I missed that in the contract () but worth noting for anyone thinking about signing up.

The magic speed is 200-300kb. If it's running at this and it should be 500kb, 1mb or 2mb then it's the same problem. 40,000 people have been affected.

It makes BT look almost professional.
