Win Media Player not working?

[J1mmyD]

This morning I tried to play a video file - WMP didn't want to know.

In order to test it out, I tried a few MP3's - WMP was opening, but not playing anything. It didn't show as 'Not Responding', it just didn't want to do anything.

I downloaded WMP 10, installed and rebooted, but still no go.

Uninstalled WMP then reinstalled - still no go.

Any of you tech types give me something else to try?

Thanks in advance.
