Although not directly a computer related issue, I thought there would be some technical bod here that may be able to shed light on the following.

As I am hard-of-hearing I am looking to purchase one of these:

Uniphone 1150

According to the spec it can only connect to an analogue network (I'm assuming the ntl telephone service is digital). Any idea of the type of adapter required for this?

I've sent emails to various organisations (including Teletec and ntl) but as yet have not got a reply. Hoping someone here can help!

An NTL cable line presents exactly the same as an ordinary BT PSTN line.

Edited to add:

They do screen some services such as CLI though. There are some NTL backroom types posting here who may be able to give you a definitive answer quicker than the regular channels.

Unless NTL provide telephony over ISDN then its an analogue line and the minicom should connect as if it were a BT line.

Thanks guys, with ntl promoting themselves as a more or less a 'Digital' service, and with the phone unsuitable for Digital network I was a bit unsure. Thanks for clearing that up and for the link thumbup
