Don't know if anyone else has experienced this but it's getting annoying now. Only managed to narrow it down because the router seems to always lock up when my son is using the internet (Mac Powerbook) and finally figured out that it happens when somone sends him a file via MSN Messenger. It doesn't even seem to matter how big the file is - last night someone sent him a 20k BMP file and it killed the router.

In case it matters; router is a D-Link DSL 504, computer is Mac Powerbook running latest MSN; sender's computer (I think) is a PC running XP

Each time I have to power-cycle the router to get it back again.

Any clues?

Random thought - is the router running the latest firmware?

OK, just saw that thread.

Buy a new router! They hardly cost anything these days.

Any recommendations for a new router then? I've been on the edge of buying one for a while because of several "issues" with the DSL 504.
