Problem with folder permisisons on NTL webspace?
Discussion
Ive currently got a lot of old files and folders on my NTL webspace which I cannot delete via FTP.
In the past I have always accessed my webspace via ftp address in windows explorer. I can view, rename, delete some files and folders without problem.
If I try to delete some older folders via windows explorer / ftp, I get a 'File Exists' error. If I log in to my webspace via a command line FTP and try to delete I get 'Not Owner' error.
trying to change the permissions results in 'CHMOD not allowed'
I put all the files there so why can't I delete them?

If the problem is only with older files NTL *may* have moved them and faffed up the permissions. To test it upload some stuff and delete it again.
I have a feeling that you may need to enter the world of pain that is known as NTL support and get them to delete them for you. Although in fairness, every time I have eventually got through to the web people they've done what's necessary pretty quickly.

Cheers, I suspected that might be the case... I can indeed delete stuff I have just put on there.
Do you have a phone number for NTL web support people by any chance?
Cheers
