Just got a lovely sling box today.

We moved house recently and Sky is not available at the new place (big trees in the way).

To fix this, enter the sling box. Great bit of kit recommended by a yank friend of mine (it's been out over there for a year or so, and only just come out here).

A friend that can receive Sky is kindly running our Sky box at his house. The sling box is slapped on the back of our Sky box and connected to his ADSL modem, and then streams our Sky picture onto the internet. We then login to the sling box from our house and can use Sky almost exactly as if the box was in our living room. The only frigging about was that the reception is ony available on a computer, so to watch it on the TV you need a dedicated PC sat behind the TV that is using the TV as a monitor.

It's a pretty cool bit of kit - especially as you can access it anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Like at work when you are bored

Yes they are brilliant!

Ive been using mine to stream digital terrestrial TV to Luxembourg for the last 2 months.

Just make sure you have a fat BB pipe with a good upload speed, otherwise all you will watch are pretty little blocks moving around the screen rather than a intelligable picture!

euroboy - are you using the phone line in your flat for this ?

Anybody tried the Sony version, LocationFree I think it is called. Although the only reason I would go for that over a Slingbox is that I have a PSP.
