I have had my LCD Toshiba TV for some months now, and although it works fine, it has a constant hum to it when its on.

Is this normal?

Obviously its hard to describe volume on a forum, but its a hum/very soft buz. If the TV is on low (late at night), its a bit annoying. Sorry if the description is vague.

Any thoughts?

Not uncommon. It's usually the backlight or the PSU for the backlight. Played with a Samsung a while ago, and that buzzed if the brightness was full, but if you let it do it's dynamic contrast thing (which varies the backlight brightness) the buzzing changed.

Mines exactly as you've described.

It's in our bedroom so you really notice it, tempted to sell it and go back to the old CRT.
