I'm looking for a mobile phone, with basic PDA functionality - more particularly calendar function - probably to synch with Organizer, Outlook or Notes (could use either of these - or Google/Thunderbird/Firefox/other).

Not too fussed on email - but it would be nice. Currently use Thunderbird and Notes, although I could easily switch to Outlook, etc.

The one thing I do want is support for Wi-Fi support. I don't need to surf the web , or check email every 5 minutes - but would be handy when I'm in a [free] wi-fi hotspot.

And finally - budget - I'd prefer it to be on the cheaper end of the market. Quite happy for it to be 2nd hand/ebay/old.

As for the mobile phone functionality - I rarely use the mobile for calling out or texting - everyone phones me - so I have a PAYG which works a treat.

Anyone got any pointers?

MTIA,

SPV M600 or its various network specific incarnations.

HTC actually make the device but its branded differently depending on who you get it through.

Actually a load of the HTC devices, which are easily found on ebay now have wireless.

I've an MDA Pro, its big but damned useful if you spend a lot of time out of the office.

Matt,

I'd love to have an MDA - on any network. I did look at one when they first came out.

And of course, I'd also love the SPV M600.

My only problem was the budget ..... I was mentally thinking around the £100 mark(ish) - hence happy to have 2nd hand/ebay/refurb/etc.

You should be able to find an MDA Vario for around a ton on ebay.
