Hello all,

My new website is now operational and I'm looking for some unbiased feedback so thought I'd throw it out to you.

The site address is www.avalanche-sports.co.uk and all critique is welcome.

Cheers

With Javascript turned off, you can't navigate by manufacturer. Graceful degradation means that the site should remain as functional as possible without relying on things that can be disabled/turned off by either the user or a sysadmin. i.e. List boxes should not trigger navigation on selection but should have an associated "go" button.

I hate to say this - but I quite like it.

Nice and fast. Easy to navigate and clear and easy to understand.

The only comment I do have is that you need to click to see a products reviews - which is fine where you have some. But when you don't you get nothing. I'd personally suggest either including all the reviews at the end of the product details - or code it in such a way so that if there are no reviews, then it prompts a visitor to write one.

P.S. - and it's only down the road from me!!!!!

First couple of things I have "clicked to enlarge" have just repeated the same image at the same dimensions. Other than that, navigates well though you may not want to list manufacturers that are not represented by goods e.g. "Spy"

Ditto the javascript comment above.

It'd be nice to have the "Special Offers" pane display items related to the category you're browsing (I kept getting kites and skateboards displayed while browsing snowboard bindings).

What age group are you aiming at? The "Dudez" and "Chickz" text on on the Men/Women icons looks a bit childish, and the graffiti style text can somethimes be hard to read.

Other than that, looks great.
Plus, another place to check out in preperation for the new seasons kit. My wife'll hate it, but my credit card company love you

Just a minor thing I notice, when in a browser that's not full screen, the site header and footer render a different width to the rest of the site;

Indeed!!!! Nice to not be stuck in traffic with the masses!

These were the summer opening times that we have yet to amend for the winter season. Should be changing back to a 10 o'clock start mid October when the season kicks in.
