For some reason my MSMoney keeps asking me to upgrade and please would I insert the original CD. Now I have no idea why its asking this (I must have accidentally selected something!) and as I have many years of accounts in MSMoney I dont want to muck around with it. I have it all backed up but still dont want to mess. Also I dont have the original CD as MSMoney came pre-installed with the new PC.

I've had a look in MSConfig and cant see any stuff that fires off the annoying upgrade window. It comes up as soon as the machine is switched on and no matter how many times I close it cancel it or whatever it keeps coming back so I have to leave it on the screen.

Help !

I have the nasty suspicion that it won't go away unless its fed a copy of MS Money. Odd that a pre-install wouldn't come with at least a rebuild CD or something that could generate one.

Does it mention a file name that it's looking for?

Scan the HDD, it's probably already on there lurking in a hidden directory. Don't forget to select to search the hidden folders option in advanced view.

Its annoying the hell out of me - have to see if theres a copy of the CD hidden in one of those dastardly hidden partitions.

Its not looking for a file, just says - MS Money Upgrade, insert your MS Money CD to continue Grrr

Did you get any cd's with your system? MS used to hide some prog's on other cd's autoroute used to come bundled with some versions of works.
