I'm trying to create a hyperlink for a document (that I don't have write permission to) that has spaces and commas in the file name. I know that %20 is the 'code' I need to use to represent a space, but what is the code I need to represent a comma?

eg c:\mydocs\files\this file.doc would be
file:\\\c:\mydocs\files\this%20file.doc

how do I do c:\mydocs\files\this file,text.doc

Thanks, is there a list of these on the web anywhere? I guess there is, its just knowing what to search for. Do they have a name?

Its an ASCII* code, in hexadecimal notation..

see this chart, get the code from the "hex" column..

HTH

i think it may be UTF-8, but its virtually the same as ASCII unless you start wanting foreign european charactors
