Hi there
I have an old 1mhz PC, USB1 etc. Just recently it takes ages to send a page to the printer. The printer is fine, as I have tested it on another PC. The PC has been defragged and I recently ran ccleaner on it. The hard drive is 90% full. Any thoughts would be much appreciated, before my next request on what to buy as a replacement!
Cheers

Sorry to be an arse but assuming you mean 1GHz, try removing the existing driver and freshly installing the latest one from the web. If its a HP laser make sure you get the PCL driver rather than the PS one. Good luck!

And get rid of some of the tat on your HDD.... If the print job is a decent size it'll grind as the available space on disk gets swallowed up.

Many thanks chaps. I have found a fix on the hp website which might help, the printer is an hp psc 1410, I will try it tonight.
Aldi, it is indeed a 1GHz machine. What is the difference between a PCL driver and a PS one, excuse my ignorance.

They're different languages that printers speak, some printers are ace as PS (postscript) but for HP its very much the second language, PCL is HP's bag.
