Any advice? I'm sitting at home laid up after after an operation and my printer has just expired. It was always unreliable and it won't be bothering me again because I just stuck my foot through it after it let me down once too often. Now I need a new colour laser printer and quick, but I can't get out of the house. Credit card is poised, but where to do my shopping? Just tried PC World and ended up having their website crash mid transaction and then spending ages on hold before losing patience with some clueless gimp. Where can I spend my hard-earned without being ripped off, without having to deal with Ali G and in the sure knowledge that I will get decent service?

Try a price comparison site like

www.kelkoo.co.uk or
www.pricerunner.co.uk

Always found www.ebuyer.com to be good.

Novatech are my local supplier and seem to deliver, quite reliable in terms of service.
But dabs.com are pretty good.

Call me an old cynic, but I generally believe that if something looks too good to be true, it almost certainly is. So what's the catch here...?

How much are the refills?

Can the cartidges be refilled by a 3rd-party (read: fellow PHer)

If you print black only (like a letter) is it a composite black, or use only the black carridge?

That's what I'd be asking and looking at.

Mind you - even with £150 off .... that's a pretty serious offer!

My guess is about £200 for all four cartridges! The Printers themselves are literally free.
