I've got a Sony Network Walkman, and it doesn't seem to like itunes .aac files. Is there any way of converting them?

You can also do it in iTunes - just change import format from aac to mp3 in the preferences.

Then highlight one or all your iTunes in your library and right click the mouse, go to "convert to mp3" - it used to say "convert to aac"........

Thats fantastic! I had about 1200 songs that were protected (stupid stupid apple protecting files that I want to use on my squeezebox) up until last night.

I've now converted my entire itunes purchased library for the £8 software fee.

thumbup Thanks Pies.
