Media Centre type software for XP?

[rsvmilly]

Anybody know of any software which works in a similar fashion to Media Centre but runs on XP Pro? If it will use the MCE remote then even better.

I have an old Siemens XP box (1.7G Celeron) which I'd like to use as a media centre. It is a very quiet case/fan so I may use for storage, too.

Media Portal is the most complete replacement for MCE.
However it can be quite demanding in terms of CPU performance (just like MCE).

GB-PVR also seems good from what I've read and if your in the mood to pay wonga take a look at erm... Snapstream.

Have a look at J River's Media Center. Really is very good. I'm on v.10 and haven't upgraded to 11 yet, as v10 is so good.
