Monitor on way out?
Discussion
Afternoon all.
My Medion 19inch TD/TG monitor seems to be having a problem when I switch the PC on.
The monitor on/off light goes on and off for a minute or two before the screen will actually fire up.
I have checked the Device Manager, and there does not seem to be any problem there. My guess is that the monitor is on the way out, but thought it best to check in here before wallet bashing ensues. Many thanks in advance to any replies.

Sounds like it could well be on the way out, however it might well be a simple fix. Generally the most common thing that sends electronics bonkers is dry joints on the PCB (or some cheap generic component). I know they are becomming a rarity but if you drag it down to the local TV repair shop or over to someone who can solder and let them give it a once over.
It'll cost (either money or beer) but probably less than a new monitor.
