I have a backup which was too large (I think) for the maxtor 1 touch. I now can not get it to restore the data which I have lost due to my Raid 0 array crashing.

Can anyone help?

TIA

Yep that's the one. I have always had problems with buring CD's (don't ask me why!) so have not made a disaster recovery CD.

The main PC is basically FUBAR I think however I have got a bigger RIAD box now so will not have the same issue again it is just that I'm not sure if I should re-do the catalog files or not!

On the menu go into configure > backup sets > properties and check that the catalog files are intact. You should then be able to redo the backup.

I presume this is a networked machine.

This is not a networked machine.
When I looked at the catalogue files (when I last looked) I didn't have much luck however I did get to a point where I was asked if I wanted to redo them (and "ignore" the last set).

What does this acutally mean - that they will be over written (and is this important) or that new ones will be created leaving an expert something to go back to if necessary.

Thanks
